Premier Debit card holders are eligible for reimbursement of up to a total of $1,000 (subject to a $100 deductible) specified costs they incurred resulting from the theft, unauthorized or illegal use of their name, plastic card, plastic card number, Social Security number or other method of identification.

Actual lost wages up to $500 per week for up to four weeks for time taken from work solely as a result of efforts to amend or rectify records as to the member’s true name or identity are reimbursable.  The lost wages limit is a sublimit of the limit of insurance described.  Reimbursable costs include long distance phone calls, affidavit notarization, postage, loan application, and credit report fees incurred while resolving an identity theft incident.  These costs must be incurred in the United States.

Provides information, advice, and a 15-page victim assistance packet for consumers that might be or have become a victim of identity theft.  The packet includes form letters for the consumer to send to the three credit bureaus, recommendations for law enforcement filings, and a list of government Web sites to access for additional help and support.

ScoreCard is a rewards program that allows you to earn Bonus Points for every net retail dollar spent using your Premier Debit card.

You can redeem your Bonus Points for brand-name merchandise and exciting travel awards by visiting www.ScoreCardRewards.com.  You can access the site by entering your ScoreCard debit card number.

Once inside, you can search for merchandise and travel rewards by brand-name, keyword and Bonus Point levels. You will also find program rules, ordering options, frequently asked questions and answers, and contact information.

Just one of the many benefits of your Premier Debit card.

90-Day Product Protection gives card holders one more reason to use their eligible account for all their purchases.  When you use your Premier Debit card to pay for new retail purchases in full, purchases are automatically protected for a full 90 days from the date of purchase against direct physical loss or damage (in excess of other applicable coverages).

What items qualify?
Virtually all new, non-commercial, retail items purchased in full with the Premier Debit card qualify for coverage.  Please see Program Exclusions* for a full list of what is not covered under the program.

Do I have to register purchases?
No.  You are automatically enrolled whenever your Premier Debit card is used for qualifying purchases.  No registration forms are necessary.

How do I claim lost, stolen, or damaged items?
To file a claim, follow these simple steps:

  1. Report the incident by calling toll free, (800) 937–4639, within 45 days of the loss or damage.  Our customer service representatives will send you a Loss/Damage Form.

  2. Complete and return the form within 90 days of the loss or damage, along with the requested documentation such as the card receipt indicating the entire purchase was made with an eligible account, your itemized sales receipt, and applicable police and insurance reports.

  3. If additional information is requested, provide it within six months of the date of loss.

How do damaged items get repaired or replaced?
If an item is repairable, you may be referred to an authorized service center.  We reserve the right to replace the item, or substitute a cash payment, not to exceed the total original purchase price of the item as recorded on the receipt.

If a claim is settled by cash or replacement, the damaged item becomes the property of 90-Day Product Protection.  You may be asked to send the damaged item (at your expense) to an address that we designate.

Do I need to file with my own insurance company?
Yes.  This program pays in excess of all other applicable coverage.  Your insurance company must verify in writing whether the item is covered under the member’s insurance policy.  The same applies to any other warranties, indemnity policies, or other coverages.  If the item is covered your expenses not covered by insurance, such as insurance deductibles up to the original purchase price of the item will be paid.  All insurance and/or applicable policies must be exhausted before a claim may be honored.

Is there a limit to the number of claims I can file?
No.  There is no limit to the number of claims you can file.  However, each claim is subject to a $1,000 payment limit per occurrence and each account has a $50,000 annual payment limit.

Are the Programs fully insured?
Yes.  Product Protection is fully insured by a Master Policy issued by Virginia Surety Company.  Virginia Surety is rated “A+” Superior by A.M. Best and Company and has assets in excess of $900 million.  Additionally, the combined assets of Aon back Virginia Surety, which exceed $18 billion.  A fully insured program provides you and your program members with the financial security essential to long term customer satisfaction.

*Program Exclusions
There is no coverage for theft from motorized vehicles or loss/damage occurring while the item is consigned to a third party.

There is no coverage for losses resulting from fraud, abuse, neglect, misapplication of the consumer product, normal wear and tear, intentional acts of a Covered Person, war or hostilities or any kind, including invasion, rebellion or insurrection, confiscation by order of any government, public authority or customs official, risks of contraband, losses arising from illegal activity or acts, radioactive contamination, flood, earthquake, mysterious disappearance, incidental and consequential damages, and inherent product defects.

Additionally, services, travelers’ checks, art objects, cash or its equivalent, tickets of any kind, negotiable instruments, bullion, rare or precious coins, stamps, antiques and collectible items, animals and living plants, dwellings, permanent fixtures, consumable and perishable items (including but not limited to food or fuel), items used for business or commercial purposes, and all vehicles except non-motorized cycles, and custom dental appliances are not covered.

Just by using your Premier Debit card, you can protect purchases against direct physical loss or damage.  And valid U.S. warranties up to five years are doubled up to one additional year.  It’s Murphy’s Law - the toaster only stops toasting the day after the warranty runs out and Rover only chews up shoes that are brand new.  But with Extended Warranty you can stop worrying.  And best of all, the program is easy to use.

If the original warranty is in effect, card holders should follow the manufacturer’s instructions to arrange for repair.  However, if a product fails after the original warranty has expired but while Extended Warranty is in effect, customers simply call our toll free number (800) 937 – 4639 any time day or night and we will provide the name and address of the nearest authorized service center.  If in-home service is included with the manufacturer’s warranty, it is also provided under Extended Warranty.

While the item is being repaired, the program card holder must send copies of the following so that the claim may be honored:

  • The itemized store receipt indicating date and place of purchase

  • Product description and serial number (if applicable) and copies of the manufacturer’s warranty and warranty card

  • Member’s full name, address and day and evening phone numbers

  • Any additional information requested

Claims Payment
Generally, the service center that repaired the item will be paid directly, provided the required information is received in the required time.  In certain instances, you may have to pay for repairs and be reimbursed.

Is there a limit to the number of claims a program card holder can file?
No.  There is no limit to the number of claims a cardholder can file.  However, each claim is subject to a $1,000 payment limit per occurrence and each account has a $50,000 annual payment limit.

Are the Programs fully insured?
Yes.  Extended Warranty is fully insured by a Master Policy issued by Virginia Surety Company.
